The Split-Brain Wing

To stop severe seizures, surgeons once cut the corpus callosum — the thick cable of 200 million fibres joining your two hemispheres. The patients walked, talked, and went home fine. It took years for anyone to notice what had happened to them. In this room, you are the half that talks.

Your brief: you are the left hemisphere. You handle speech — you are the only half that can answer a question out loud, so as far as anyone can tell from outside, you are the person. You receive vision from the right half of the world only. Whatever appears on the left goes to your silent partner, and the cable is cut. You will not see it. You will not know it happened.
